The Coromandel Keltic Fair 2022 has been cancelled
The trustees of the Coromandel Education Advancement Trust (CEDACT) and Coromandel Area School (CAS) wish to announce their decision
to not hold the Coromandel Peninsula's premier summer holiday community fair event, the Keltic Fair, on 2 Jan 2022.
We know this will come as an enormous disappointment to our local businesses, community groups, stall holders and the many,
many thousands of people that come to our wonderful town for this event.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly as this would have been the 32nd consecutive fair.
Although we would be legally permitted to hold the fair if the traffic light system remains 'orange' for the region,
the trustees believe that the overriding concern for
protecting the health of the members of our community and the overall health
of the public must be a priority over all other factors.
Every year CEDACT provides support for educational purposes in our community and many other community groups.
We remain committed to continuing this support throughout 2022.
We are now focused on the 2023 Keltic Fair and enjoying a much anticipated ceilidh (KAY-lee).
